OUR WORK
Real Websites for Real Businesses
A portfolio should show more than attractive screenshots. The useful question is what the website needed to do, why it was built that way and how the different parts support the business behind it.
These WebCoZa projects cover very different challenges — from specialist ecommerce and health information to a long-running South African directory and an international fishing content platform.
SELECTED PROJECTS
Different Businesses Need Different Websites
A probiotic brand, a wellness directory, a specialist nail store and a bass-fishing website have completely different customers, content and commercial goals. Their websites should not look or behave as though they came out of the same box.
Each case study explains the business challenge, what WebCoZa worked on and why particular decisions were made.
SELECTED PROJECTS
Different Businesses Need Different Websites
An online shop, specialist information site and health business should not all be squeezed into the same template. The website needs to fit the job.
Bass Fishing Tips US
A specialist bass-fishing website combining educational guides, tackle content, ecommerce product pages and search-focused content for an international fishing audience.
Noster ProBiotics
A product-focused health website combining ecommerce with educational content, product information and ongoing search-focused articles.
Body and Mind
A long-established South African health and wellbeing directory combining practitioner listings, educational content, events and ongoing directory management.
Nail’d It In Style
A specialist ecommerce website combining nail products, detailed product information, educational guides and search-focused content to help customers understand what they need before they buy.
DIFFERENT JOBS, DIFFERENT WEBSITES
We Don’t Start With “Which Template Do You Want?”
The structure should follow what the business needs the website to accomplish.
Business Websites
Clear services, trust information, contact details and calls to action for businesses that mainly need enquiries.
Ecommerce Websites
Products, categories, checkout, payments, order management and supporting information for businesses selling online.
Content Websites
Articles, guides, internal linking and strong site architecture for businesses where useful information forms an important part of the website.
EXPERIENCE COUNTS
Websites Have Changed Quite a Bit Since We Started
WebCoZa’s experience with websites goes back to 1995. The technology has changed enormously since then, but the basic job remains surprisingly familiar: help a business communicate clearly and make it easy for the customer to take the next step.
Today’s websites are faster, mobile, searchable, connected to ecommerce, email, analytics and all manner of clever machinery. The machinery is useful. It just shouldn’t become the entire point of the website.
YOUR WEBSITE DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS BIG
Most Small Businesses Can Start Much More Simply
Some of the examples above are substantial websites built up over time. That doesn’t mean your first business website needs hundreds of pages.
If you mainly need a professional presence explaining who you are, what you do and how customers can contact you, WebCoZa’s five-page website may be enough.
YOUR BUSINESS NEXT?
Let’s Build the Website Your Business Actually Needs
Tell us about your business and what you need the website to achieve. It might be a straightforward five-page site, a larger business website or a full ecommerce project.
